It does look weird. 

Like all this cobweb making the place feel old and then this shiny new lock that seems to be cobweb free. 

It's good. You did a good black and white on it. It just makes me stop and look because of the lock.

Yes, a conundrum - it's the back door of my garage & the padlock's hung there in all weathers for about 3 years: I think the contrast you see is what struck me as well, and prompted me to shoot it (that, and the obvious 'webmaster' pun that hangs on it). Maybe it's just that Mr Arachnid simply can't get any web-purchase on plastic & chromed metal - the manufacturers of the 'Master' padlock do make lots of play on its rugged weatherproof properties.
